We would recommend this holiday to anybody. Site position was excellent you can walk into Whitby along the old railway line. Staff were very helpful and accommodation excellent. The view from our cottage over the moors was fabulous. We were also visited by a pair of young deer, fantastic week. Mrs B, Market Drayton, Shropshire 31 October 2010

Brilliant accomodation, lovely setting, good facilities. Will certainly return! Mrs B, Leeds, West Yorkshire 23 September 2010
I would not recommend this holiday to anyone, I go every year and it is so good I don't want the place swamped with other people. Mr G, WALLSEND, Tyne and Wear 29 August 2010
Captain Cook's Haven is a very keen and pleasant, quiet site. Mr T, BEDFORD, Bedfordshire 19 August 2010
Wonderful site with good views of the river, steam trains and viaduct, children enjoyed crabbing in the river and feeding the many ducks. The swimming pool was much used, overall very quiet, peaceful accommodation. Mrs J, London 17 August 2010
Captain Cook's Haven is located in a beautiful setting with modern facilities creating an excellent base to see Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors. We went on steam trains, boats, lunch in country pubs, museums, monuments, shopping and long and short walks. We would definitely book through Hoseseasons again as the whole family including the dog spent a wonderful week on holiday. Miss R, LIVERPOOL, Merseyside 09 August 2010
Myself and my family have just experienced a wonderful week at Captain Cook's Haven in Whitby. The cottage we stayed in was cosy and had a great view of the River Esk, everyday we would wave to the steam train that went past into Whitby, and my children enjoyed feeding the ducks and watching the fish jump in the river. Mr. P, WARRINGTON, Cheshire 08 August 2010
Great location for a traditional family holiday. Mrs M, HUDDERSFIELD 08 August 2010

Brilliant accommodation, fantastic location, families will love this place. This was our 7th year in a row and we will be back next year!!! Mr B, East Boldon, Tyne And Wear 07 June 2010
The Captains Cook Haven site is great for all ages. This latest visit was our sixth time and our party included my wife and I , 2 teenage boys and grandparents. The site itself, Whitby and the surrounding areas offer plenty for everyone to enjoy. Swimming in the pool, fossil hunting, fishing, football for the boys, beautiful relaxing surroundings and plenty of cafes and coffee shops for the grandparents. Whitby provides an array of varied and tasteful shopping for mum. And for dad, well just knowing everyones happy meant I can take in the abundance of scenic views, a leisurely walk and perhaps a nice cold beer and a chat, a proper chill-out holiday. Mr L, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne And Wear 06 June 2010

Would definitely recommend the site, small, very quiet, very clean and child friendly. Ms. O, ILFORD, Essex 25 April 2010
Excellent swimming pool, and playgrounds for children, beautiful riverside location, peace and quiet but easy access to Whitby Town centre. Mrs B, SUTTON-IN-ASHFIELD, Nottinghamshire 21 April 2010
It is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Whitby which makes it ideal as it is peaceful but with the main attractions a walk distance away. It is on the cycle path so if you wish to cycle, as we did, it is very easy and the path goes all the way to Scarborough (if you so desired) We had 5 in the accommodation without any issues with regard to living or cooking areas. It was just a really nice place to stay. Mr C, HUDDERSFIELD, United Kingdom 21 April 2010
Just enjoyed the whole holiday- excellent location for walking into Whitby- peaceful and pleasant site and very helpful and pleasant staff.
Mrs P, CHESTER, Cheshire 18 April 2010
We were very impressed with the site and the accommodation and would recommend highly. Mrs D, Colwyn Bay, Clwyd 05 April 2010
We had a lovely break in Whitby. Captain Cooks Haven was ideally situated to enable easy access to the North East's attractions. The site was quiet and relaxing and the cottage had everything that we needed to enhance our stay. Mr J, GLOSSOP, Derbyshire 28 March 2010
What a wonderful place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday hectic life. A beautiful view across the fields, particulary when it snowed - absolutely gorgeous!!! I would imagine that this location would be lovely in the summer time too. Mr R, WIRRAL, Merseyside 21 February 2010
The park is very close to the centre of Whitby, but far enough away for the peace and quiet that you may wish for. The park has excellent views of trains, the river and the viaduct bridge, and is a must for keen cyclists as the cycle trial starts at the viaduct. Mrs M, WARRINGTON 02 December 2009
This was our third tme at Captain Cook's Haven. A great location beside the Esk River, and a lovely 2km walk into fascinating Whitby via the amazing 13 arch viaduct. The indoor pool on site is excellent, and there are so many great places around Whitby to visit - Robin Hood's Bay, Runswick Bay, Boggle Hole, Sandsend - we never tire of the area! Mrs R, Newark, Nottinghamshire 18 November 2009
Excellent accommodation in a very attractive part of the country. Mr H, GRIMSBY, South Humberside 12 August 2009
First class accommodation in a picturesque part of the country. Mr H, GRIMSBY, South Humberside 11 August 2009
The location and quality of this park was well above what we expected. We cannot fault it and will be booking again very soon. Mrs B, Burnley, Lancashire 10 August 2009
It was excellent! Mr S, LOUTH 12 July 2009
We keep coming back to Captain Cook's Haven because of the location of the park and the on-site facilities, such as swimming pool and play areas. It is also quiet and safe, which is ideal with a young family. Mrs R, Sheffield, South Yorkshire 10 July 2009
The play area and the swimming pool were brilliant for the children and were both well maintained and modern. The accommodation itself was well furnished with modern furniture and the standard of cleanliness was probably the best I have ever had in holiday accommodation. This made us feel at home straight away - beautiful views around the park as well! Mr T, STROUD 01 July 2009
The park was in a great location, within walking distance to Whitby, and also the park was great for the children as it was very safe for them to play outside. The pool was exceptionally clean and warm.
Miss W, HALESOWEN, West Midlands 28 June 2009
The location was surprisingly quiet considering the number of holiday houses which was a pleasure. Only a 20 minute walk to the beach. Mrs G, LINCOLN, Lincolnshire 28 June 2009
It is very rare to get holiday accommodation that is as comfortable as being at home! Mrs M, LIVINGSTON 18 June 2009
The location was very good with easy access to Whitby and the surrounding area. Our three boys loved the pool! Mrs S, Rochdale, Lancashire 17 February 2009
Good all-round family holiday. Mr H, Bristol, Avon 27 December 2008
We would thoroughly recommend this holiday to both couples and families. You can also take your dog as there are many nice places to walk. The park was very peaceful and placed in beautiful settings. It is a really nice idea having a key to the swimming pool meaning you can swim when you like and there was rarely anyone in there it was almost like having your own private pool. The location is excellent, to get into Whitby you can either walk across the viaduct and through the wooded walk or just walk the main road. The staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Mr L, Spalding, Lincolnshire 20 September 2008

A lovely site located right next to the River Esk with it's wildlife and the railway just the other side of the water. Watching the steam locomotives going to and from Whitby was glorious. Also very convenient location for sightseeing. Staithes, Robin Hood's Bay, the North York Moors and, of course, Whitby itself make this a holiday where there is plenty to see and do. Mr W, Spilsby, Lincolnshire 19 July 2008
Lovely location in the woods. Nice accommodation - near to the donkey park and Calstock! Mr G, Carlisle, Cumbria 12 July 2008
